The silly season is here for us – we are out of season, top-level matches will not be played until July 21. This is a good time to rebuild, but first you have to plan it. And since this site is not created for me, but for users, I decided to share my plans for the development of the site, and for those who have come here for the first time, this may be some indicator of whether it is actually worth following this MATCHDAY.
The answer to this last question is simple – it’s not worth it. If you’re looking for controversies, scandals, more biased articles about the quarrels at Motor Lublin, gossip about transfers to Wieczysta Kraków or articles like „Lewandowski didn’t score a hat trick again, internet users are merciless [SEE MEMES]” – you’ve come to the wrong place and it’s definitely not worth following this portal.
So I will move on quite smoothly to what we are actually planning.

The main point of this page will always be the match schedules. We try to make sure that a fresh schedule appears on the main page every day, so that the portal user does not have to click through twenty subpages in search of what is most important to them.
We started adding some journalism some time ago. You probably won’t see columns by former footballers or famous journalists here for a simple reason – they’d probably want money for it, and that doesn’t really connect with one of the next points of our plans. We won’t pay for articles until the site starts making money, and the model of potential advertising that we’re interested in won’t support that.
But we already have a close-knit team of exotic league enthusiasts, on discord we can exchange observations or play football manager. Journalism authors do not have any deadlines imposed here, no one is rushing them to work. Simply, if you feel inspired and want to write a longer text – then you act, if you have any questions, then ask and whoever can help. The goal is to create a cool place for young authors.
What model is this?
There will be no ads. At least not like there are on other sites. There will be no pop-ups, no breaks in the text – basically, no ads delivered by AdSense or something similar. So you can safely disable AdBlock, because the number of such ads on the site will always remain the same. Zero.
If any do appear, it is when the advertiser contacts us directly. You can always sell some partnership, a small banner or the slogan „Today’s schedule is sponsored by…”. The user will not even pay attention to the fact that something like that appears at first, and they certainly will not have to click additionally to get rid of such an ad.
Social media – LET’S KICK CLICKBAIT OUT OF FOOTBALL
I’m obsessed with clickbait. For years I’ve thought it makes people idiots who need to be subconsciously attacked with sensationalism so that they’ll visit the site and get clicks, and therefore display ads and earn that penny from AdSense. During the pandemic, the social media of the largest portals caught us on the deaths of athletes, because it generated comments under such posts – which increased the reach. If deliberately sensationalizing someone’s death isn’t disgusting, what is?
Besides, treating the user like an idiot is not okay either, and that’s exactly how I would call clickbaiting for worthless articles like „URGENT! Zbigniew Boniek revealed when „Lewy” will end his career” (example from a moment ago, TVP Sport by the way).
That’s why on social media information should be provided in such a way that key information is already included in the post. And if someone is interested, they will click further to read. Simple and without any embarrassing click-catching.
Okay, but there is no news here, only spreads and journalism (sporadically)!
But there will be news in the future. Possibly written by ChatGPT, which will summarize the article to the smallest possible amount of text. This requires a site reconstruction – it will be necessary to escape from WordPress, which does not look very professional. At least in its current form.
Newsmen? If you are not a big journalist, you do not have contacts – you have no way of getting news first-hand. And if you are, you work for Meczyki. That is why no sensational information from the last minute will appear here – rather something like a collection of the most important information from a given day. You enter in the evening after work and do not have to read walls of text to find out. User convenience. We are always open to those willing to help in creating this portal.
Cooperation with broadcasters
This is a key issue for us now. There will come a day when I will probably write dozens of emails to small YouTube channels that broadcast matches even from B class, to post them here. It requires a huge amount of time to collect all the matches in the round – so the easiest thing for everyone will be to organize some kind of broadcast registration form and convince such smaller broadcasters to use it. And I hope that I will manage to do it.
And the bigger broadcasters? They usually provide the broadcast schedule on their social media, and Eleven and TVP Sport probably do it best – the first ones post a collective post about the whole thing on their Facebook, TVP commentators can be found directly on their website. Polsat does not provide the First League anywhere – maybe they are a bit ashamed.
We provide it here to save the user from searching for such information on their own – to find it directly from the source you need (using TVP as an example): go to the website, find the menu, in the menu select the broadcasts section, find the match, click on that match. On MATCHDAY you go to the main page, ctrl+f and you already have information about whose voice you will hear today or on which channel exactly the match will be broadcast.
So that’s the concept of this page you’re on and you can now make an informed decision as to whether it’s worth clicking follow, bookmarking the page and continuing to follow the MATCHDAY project.
And you can ask any questions on our Twitter – we are most active there and will respond the fastest.
Good luck, little face,
fxd
